Microsoft update adversely affects Siebel applications

This email is to notify Siebel application users of a Microsoft update that significantly changes the way Internet Explorer interacts with certain ActiveX controls. This change was originally released as optional patch, KB912945, and is scheduled to be pushed out by Microsoft on April 11 as an Automatic Update. The change significantly impacts the User Interface (UI) controls in the Siebel High Interactive (HI) Web Client. The controls affected include:

• Editable Field
• Drilling Down Field
• Popup
• PDQ
• View Pulldown
